“Carbon Literacy gives employees the knowledge needed to understand how climate change affects both them and your organisation’s operations. Once completing the course, delegates have the knowledge and skills to lower their carbon footprint, typically by 5-15% per person.”

Jacobs 2018, Carbon Literacy Project

How does certification work?

In order to become certified as Carbon Literate, delegates must take part in a day’s worth of accredited Carbon Literacy learning. We can deliver this in person in one day, or online in two 3.5-hour Microsoft Teams sessions.

Upon completion of the course, delegates are guided to complete a short summary demonstrating their understanding of what they have learned and then make two pledges to reduce carbon consumption in their organisation: one individual action and one collective action.

Graduates receive a Carbon Literacy Project certificate which demonstrates their understanding and engagement with the course.
